Congrats @manton and @danielpunkass on Episode 400 of Core Intuition.

What an accomplishment! Here’s to 400 more.

Surprised to find that there is no lone “monocle” emoji – just the face with monocle. There’s a standalone eyeglasses emoji. Just sayin’.

Congrats @danielpunkass and @redsweater on the release of Black Ink 2.0:

ICYMI, had the honor of chatting with @dteare, @kcase, and hosts @macsparky & @ismh on Mac Power Users #511 “Developer Roundtable” – fun show: www.relay.fm/mpu/511

Great deal. Really like mine, and friends who have ‘em like ‘em too.

I remember my first overnight camp was named “Sleepy Hollow.” Not sure that was a great choice for a bunch of eleven year olds. Fortunately, did not find smashed pumpkins, saddles, nor severed heads whilst staying there.

525,600 minutes scans better and is a bit more poetic than 31,536,000 seconds.

I suspect most Californians, myself included, can’t wait for the rains to come and for wildfire season to abate. Sounds like Wednesday is going to be a rough night for the East Bay hills, including some power outages.

It’s fun to build software. It’s fun to build a company. It’s incredibly fun to build things with other amazing and talented people. I’m tremendously grateful that I get to do this.

Superb software I use every day: @1Password, Desktop Curtain from @ManyTricks, @EncryptMe, @LaunchBar. Thanks folks! #mbnov

Saw a poster on BART the other day using FUD (i.e. don’t miss out on scholarships or other federal programs) to direct folks coming of age to sign up with the Selective Service. Seemed far more negative a message than it needed to be.

Murky fresh water may hold small bloodsuckers. This I learned early in life. Friends and family would check one another to ensure these creatures caused us no trouble.

We’re looking for a Test Automation Engineer @SmileSoftware. Know anyone? If so, point them here, please: smilesoftware.com/company/j…

Thanks!

Today’s Microblogvember word “neck” made me think of the Axe Yell, a staple of Big Game week:

“Right in the neck, the neck, the neck!”

I am impressed with people who are able to blog daily, particularly with a word queue, as with Microblogvember. Only a small number of my posts are interesting, but I think I have some sense of that in advance (i.e. this isn’t one). I might do better with opt-in #mbnov

I must stay focused on the goal if I am to complete Microblogvember. Same must be true for NaNoWiMo. Hats off to those folks!

Remember when iOS naming for crossover products was just your Mac product name and add “touch”? Simpler days.

I find the sculptures atop 580 California in San Francisco creepy. Perhaps it’s that their “bodies” are formed with negative space. The sculptures were made by American sculptor Muriel Castanis and are nicknamed “The Corporate Goddesses.”

Warm thoughts to the folks about to experience the cold “Arctic Blast.”

I’m so grateful to our team at @SmileSoftware. Every one of them is a star, and it’s a joy to work with them every day.

The unknown is just that which is yet to be known. It need not be frightening.

In case my last post seemed a bit out of the blue, it was spurred by Microblogvember. Today’s word was “stick.” For more on #mbnov, see this post from @macgenie micro.welltempered.net/2019/11/0…

My favorite type of stick is a manzanita branch. Manzanitas grow well here in northern California. Branches dry out nicely with a deep red color. Dried branches look great as decor.

Fauxsadillas, or not quite street quesadillas.

Buy: corn tortillas, mushrooms, shredded pepper jack, and salsa.

Sautée mushrooms. Heat tortilla on flat pan. Flip tortilla. Add cheese, mushrooms, salsa. When cheese melts, fold in half. Cook a bit more. Serve.

Yum! 🌮 #mbnov
